Marcus Brown , B.A. // House Director (Male Students)

Marcus Brown began his time at Shelterwood as a mentor and an Assistant House Director in the guys lodge. Today, he continues to serve Shelterwood as House Director (Male Students). Marcus earned his BA in Business Administration with a minor in intercultural studies and Biblical studies from Dallas Christian College, and is currently studying to earn his secondary teaching certificate in Physical Education.

Interested in becoming a life-changing mentor for at-risk teenagers? Through study and hands-on experience, the mentoring program prepares you for future placement in careers such as, counseling, youth and family ministry, missions and education.

Our mentor program is a minimum year-long journey which fosters dynamic growth through life in community and hands-on ministry with teenagers. Mentors learn to lead through service, and this humility and sacrifice transforms the lives of teens in your care. Driven by faith, your work at Shelterwood helps restore families and brings healing for struggling teens.
