Becca Simmons // Assistant to the Controller

Becca graduated in 2007 with a B.S. degree in Psychology from Kansas State University. After graduation she became a Big Sister/Mentor at Shelterwood in Branson. After finishing her year, she married Justin, and a year and a half later she found herself back at Shelterwood, but this time with her husband and in Kansas City, and as the girls house director.
She served in this capacity for 3 years and then after the birth of her son she decided that it was time to step away from residential side and into the administrative side of Shelterwood. She was the medical case coordinator, but after a year felt it was best for her family to switch to part time. This led to her finding her niche as an accounting assistant, which she loves. Also since making the switch she welcomed a daughter into the world.
When Becca is not at Shelterwood she is spending time with her family & friends. Exploring the outdoors and traveling. Becca has a passion and heart for Shelterwood and never knew how much her choice to be a mentor in 2007 would effect her whole family for years to come. She loves the heart and mission of Shelterwood, and is thankful for her co-workers and still getting to work alongside her husband.
