Mariah Morse joined the Shelterwood team in 2021. She has her Bachelor’s in Biblical Counseling with a concentration in Human Trafficking from Calvary University, her Masters in Social Work from UMKC (LMSW, licensed in the state of Missouri), and a certification in Play Therapy. Mariah enjoys working with families, children, teens, and those who have experienced trauma. In Mariah’s role as a Therapist at Shelterwood, she acts as a mediator between parents and their children. Her heart is to advocate for her clients, encourage healthy communication and conflict resolution, and to facilitate healing in the family. Mariah’s main approaches to therapy stem from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Strengths-Based Approach.
